Rules with the M3ch4nic #2

Ok topic of the week day or whatever tank shock. I bet that 60% of all 40k player don't know how to properly carry out a tank shock Or what test and how to resolve one. This can be a great tactic for many armies. And pisses off other because they dont have tanks.
Ok so let's execute a tank shock first the vehicle has to have the tank type. Second it happens in the movement phase. Third you turn and point the tank in the direction that it will move. Next you declare the number of inches the tank is going to move the tank has to move at least forward at Combat speed (up to 6 inches). Then after it has been aimed and declared move the vehicle straight forward until it either contacts an enemy unit or a piece of terrain. Take needed test. Now if the tank stops over a model they have to give way and give the 1" bubble around.

So needed test are difficult terrain test for move over terrain to see if tank is immobilized and morale for units hit.
If a unit passes Morale them it may choose a death or glory move or give way. If they choose death or glory. They must pick a model in the path of the tank to take a free shot or attack that auto hits. If they do not achieve a stunned immobilize or wreck/explodes result then that guy dies. Remember
That only one model may death or glory per unit per test. If a unit choose to give way they only move if the tank stops on top of them then a 1" bubble while. Maintaining unit coherency is followed

So this does not let you move thru friendly units. Yes it inflicts morale when u hit the enemy units. So use it wisely because death or glory can only happen when u go thru the model so if the melta gun u do not touch the no melta shot or intersect.

1. Point tank
2. Declare movement
3. Move
• Enemies take morale test and on a pass is death or glory.
• take difficult terrain test
4. Place tank. And move enemy models

Tactical advantages
• morale test the more a non fearless army takes more they are likely to fail

• pushing enemy units around literally because if you have more than one tank and execute properly the basic rule of coherency with the least movement possible. So yes with a few tanks u can move a unit several inches

• contesting objective. So what they bubble wrapped a objective use your fast tank to contest it
