What I have been up to lately

Well honestly been exploring warmachine. I have a list of thins I would like to write about but still a lil inexperienced to be trying to voice my opinion with out facts to back it up.

So maybe in the week or two I I'll start writing on exploits, the arts (helps article when to do or not to do something) and the did you know section. I will also prolly start do my own model Evals and list building articles.

I have not abandoned 40k just a underwing with the new rules and my local group is more focuses on this task at hand.

Warmachine the other white meat

Well been playing some warmahordes and starting to take like to parts of the game haven't got to scenario play yet but my local group and I have been playing a lot of assassination to get a feel on the rules and let me tell you feel. We keep constantly going back and forth on the rules and finding different thing and finding that millimeter can determine how games are won and loss. Many factions of the game have several different tactics to play. I am finding that several player got armies that is playing completely different than what they thought and some are having bad match ups. Don't know how much of this will be fixed by scenario play but we hope to find out. I have been doing rigorous studying on my army and the rules. I am staring to get more comfortable with my current army and starting to study my friends factions to hopefully help them achieve some success

The fall of 5th and rise of 6th

Why does it seem That the player base is backing out of the game as if the world might be coming to end. But we all know that it could be true with the rumors and all like gw is trying to keep up with the mayan calendar. I think we should at least hope for the best and play it thru because I know to many people ditching there stuff because they may have to learn a new ruleset. If things could be balanced it would be perfect but look at game someone always figures out some combination. That can beat the snot out of everything else. That is the nature of it. So I say if u are lucky pray for your army to get the great buff and keep on a truckin.

Try to get back to the norm?

Just like anybody doing anything sometimes it is hard to keep a routine. You finally get into a groove with anything and there is always someone there to screw it up. So trying to get back up to the store on Sunday's to au a little league and get to thinking I have missed a few week and man did I feel rusty as hell trying to play a game. So things change and life happens we all burn out on things and get into new stuff. So I bought a damn ps3 and haven't been doing much hobbiest stuff thru the week and then try to play a game on the weekend but I did that I want to play warmachine and a game of 40k and it seems like I have lost touch. Not writing much or even plans of the next list or GT I might attend. So I think I will make some plans and get the guys together for something grand. I would like to hit a tourney or do some out of town playing on a weekend or something to try to get some competitiveness back. Who will join me and who has a clue on what to do.

The apoc game

Well this past weekend Joe and I walked around a 14x16 table for about 11 hours playing are annual apoc game. We set in on a 25,000 PT game that we limited to two super heavies and only assets I received was from taken data sheets. We had the no wreck rule in place and only troops could score. So the game got wonky when we both no deployed pretty much because we screwed the bid system up bidding way to low. I guess this is where inexperience. The game Went for three full with a epic occurrences like draigo Wing Vs draigo wing and a Titan getting hit with the vortex missile. After that we soda battle damage assessment and found that the victor would fall in my favor. We both learned that it is a lot of points and to get some help next time. Also give r ur self time to deploy and maybe u Can actually play

Ok long story short i went 5-1 and lost to the best general.

Rounds 1 vs necrons
He was playing a foot list I won the dice roll and quickly went on the offensive and then destroyed his wraiths and scarabs. His following turn did not fair well since I made all of ky cover saves. Then next turn I engaged two of his troops squads and things after that took a turn for the worse for him. He kept his head held high after the 5 turn massacre but he did teach
Me how to deal with mind shackle scarabs better

Round 2 I played a dark eldar player. Really nice guy from Indy. It was a dawn of war mission and i got to go second. So I found some target in the few vehicles he had with multiple dark lances and set the ravens after them. Using re searchlights I got result on three vehicles and was set up with my cover saves. His next turn was not very productive and theny next I returned heavy fire and started to launch assaults. I then chases him down for the next turns till the bottom of six where I were I got the last model off of the table. The guy was a great sport and sat at the bar and bs'd about the game afterwards

Round three had a interesting game after Jinasis called it. I had to play hulksmash from " they shall know no fear" he had a awesome painted grey knights list. Was a very different paint scheme and played a all foot list with three dreadknights which was different for me. He won the first turn and set up so I counter deployed on spearhead to make sure he wasn't going to get first turn shots and I weird hopefully draw first blood. Then I rolled for Seize the initiative and got it. Well that changed a lot and pretty ended the game with the computers fact I got two turns of shooting before he could really respond. It didn't help much with the was rolling and how bad he was. Quite literally his dice tool a hiatus and decode to fail 2 out of 3 3+ armor saves. But still we had some laughs and made a friend that has some good advice. But then he decide to win te rest of his games and take the bracket prize from me. Damn hulk still found his own little way to et revenge lol.

In round 4 played another dark eldar player that used webways. Well he did it we and couldn't see Many mistakes on his part. It was a slug fest and a ton of assault. At one point I assault something like 4 squads ad a vehicle with 2 units and had a huge scrum fest mid field. His talos won MVP for him by tacking up 10 of his 13 kps. He had his 2 talos left but I had got up 19 on him. But since it was the last game of day one we was both dead Tired and was at each other on everything but both of is at the end stopped and had to regroup during this marathon

Day 2 round 5. Mr Hans Krueger yes his wacky necron list got the best of me. At least he went on to win the tourney so it is what it is. But next time I have a much better strategy against that style list. My policy is get me once good for you get me twice shame on me.

And round 6 mech necrons. Felt like a repeat for me of round 3 were but t
Out gunned the necrons and had some great rolls. And he failed some key saves which really flipped the table

Well it was fun I have to thank the Indy group for hosting a great GT I will be back next year to try to take my title so I will go back to playing a new list. I am thinking the salamanders are goof to come back out to play.

I left on a high note finding out all the crazy stuff my list can do and still finding stuff my list can do.
